My story: Ann Fuller Designs
How a hobby making peg dolls became an international business in the 1980s
"I created my dolls for the love of it and never expected to make any money. I was always more interested in the next one, not the last one"

About Ann Fuller
85 years of creativity
Ann started Ann Fuller Designs in 1976 when the youngest of her five children was just six years old. Her creations continued in Southwold, Suffolk, UK, where Ann moved with her husband Hugh in 1997, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary together in 2016. Ann's final projects before her death in 2022 included a series of full-size embroidered bedspreads, beautiful handmade Christmas cards and bold floral designs for local churches, St Edmund's and St Lawrence's, although peg dolls remained in her blood: Ann created the how-to make a peg doll from memory, using materials from her sewing box, some 25 years after the business ceased trading.
