Jacksons was first major retailer to take the dolls in 1976 – but they ‘had to be scented’. So Ann created the drawers for the dolls, found some lavender from a garden bush… and resubmitted them. Eventually, all Ann Fuller Designs lavender came from Provence, France, shipped in 56lb sacks.
