Peg doll earrings go viral

Updated: Nov 4, 2018

Ann’s Japanese customer was a famous actor called Masahiko Tsugawa. He created a retail brand called Gran Papa, whose mission was to find ways to encourage fathers to spend more time with their children. Tsungawa, who was also known for relocating a Scottish castle to Japan, supplied some miniature doll earrings to a ‘style influencer’ who wore them in a publicity shoot for her engagement. He then ordered 27,000 pairs and marketed them as ‘the earrings that will help you find your ideal match’, sending Ann Fuller viral.
